2024 Programs

Unless otherwise announced, all meetings begin at 10 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month. Some meetings will be held via Zoom, but most will be in person. In-person meetings are usually held at the Warrenville Public Library (28W751 Stafford Pl., Warrenville, IL 60555), but verify the program location before coming. Members will receive Zoom information and up-to-date location information in the newsletter.

January 27, 2024 — Patsy Zawistoski on “Spinning with Weaving in Mind." Via Zoom

February 24, 2024 — Virginia Postrel on “The Fabric of Civilization.” Joint Zoom program with the Chicago Chapter of the American Sewing Guild. The program is free for members of either guild, but you must register by February 20 to get the Zoom link. Nonmembers may register for $25. March 23, 2024 — Pin loom weaving. Leader: Jeanne DeVore

April 5–7, 2024 — Spring retreat at Camp Emmaus

April 27, 2024 — Using a blending board. Leader: Heavenly Bresser

May 18, 2024 — Blends and tools sharing session. Third Saturday to avoid Memorial Day weekend

June 22, 2024 — Spin-in and destash sale/exchange at the East Shelter in Greene Valley Forest Preserve (Naperville, IL)

July 2024 — No meeting

August 24, 2024 —Wet felting a scarf. Leader: Floya Hawkins. Held at a member's home

September 28, 2024 —To be determined

October 26, 2024 — Annual planning meeting and potluck lunch. Held at a member's home

November 23, 2024 — Show and Tell, with annual prize drawing from skeins and finished items shown at meetings

December 2024 — No meeting
